Welcome to the Senior Nutrition Heart Healthy Program. We offer two meal programs for Macon County residents. Diets are served which adhere to dietary guidelines.

Congregate Meals - a nutritious noon-time meal is served weekdays to persons (60 and over) at designated sites in Decatur and Macon County. Clients congregate at sites where programs provide food, fellowship, and a variety of activities. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance by calling 428-4148. Site locations noted below:

Home Delivered Meals - a nutritious noon-time meal is served to residents of Decatur and Macon County. The client must be homebound, unable to prepare a meal, and no one to assist them. Meals are delivered by staff and volunteers weekdays between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. depending on location. Clients should be prepared for delivery at time of arrival. Personnel will identify themselves as Nutrition Program to participants.

Contributions - are requested at a suggested amount of $2.50 per meal, however, no individual shall be denied for inability to pay. Home Delivered clients shall be billed on a monthly basis for meal consumption. All other clients shall pay at time of service. Participants under age 60 will be required to contribute $5.13 (congregate meal) and $6.72 (home meal). LINK Cards/SNAP Benefits are accepted, but you must call the Nutrition Office to set up.
