Since 1964 DMCOC has been providing stability to Decatur and Macon County. DMCOC has accomplished this through a wide variety of programs designed to support the community. DMCOC is growing and we are looking for new programs and partnerships to maintain the stability for our clients and to better support the community.

DMCOC, Decatur Township Office Hold Special Event For Seniors

Dannika Young, Director of Senior Services at Decatur Macon County Opportunities Corporation, hosted a “Christmas Mix & Mingle” luncheon for clients of DMCOC’s Senior Nutrition Program on Dec. 20.
Red Cross Offering Smoke Alarms
The Red Cross and its partners will install a limited number of free smoke alarms for those who cannot afford to purchase smoke alarms or for those who are physically unable to install a smoke alarm. The Red Cross installs a limited number of specialized bedside alarms for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
Local Organizations Roll Out Panhandling Education Campaign
The Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce is rolling out an educational campaign to address the problem of panhandling.
