The Decatur-Macon County Opportunities Corporation (DMCOC) will be accepting bids from HVAC contractors interested in participating in the Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP) during the period of January 2018 through June 2018.

All HVAC Contractors interested in submitting a bid must call to add their name & address to a meeting list and pick up a bid packet during the informational meeting on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm at DMCOC’s office located at 1122 E Marietta St, Decatur, IL 62521. We are looking for the following certifications for HVAC contractors:

- Certified/Licensed HVAC Contractor with the City of Decatur, County of Macon
- HVAC Contractor Certification Training (with Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunities)
- Mobile Home Certification Training
- Current General Liability Insurance
- Current Workman’s Comp. Insurance
- OSHA 30 hour Training Certificate (for owner/supervisors)
- DUNS & Bradstreet Number (Must be registered)
- SAMS Number (Must be registered)
- Current Valid Driver’s License
- Current Auto Insurance (on all vehicles used during weatherization work)

The bid packet must be filled out completely with all documents returned that are noted on the “Bid Packet Return Check List”. Packets will be due on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 no later than 3:30pm to our DMCOC office at the above address. Packets must be in a sealed envelope (provided) with the following information on the front of the envelope, Contractor’s Company Name, Contractor’s Full Name, Address, City, State, Zip code. Proposals will be evaluated, scored and the contract will be awarded to the contractor whose proposal is most advantageous and cost effective for the IHWAP and DMCOC by January 22, 2018.

DMCOC reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to accept any proposal or part of a proposal which in its judgment will be in the best interest of the program and/or agency.
