Serving Decatur and Macon County for over 50 years

Since 1964 DMCOC has been providing stability to Decatur and Macon County. DMCOC has accomplished this through a wide variety of programs designed to support the community. DMCOC is growing and we are looking for new programs and partnerships to maintain the stability for our clients and to better support the community.

2019 is DMCOC’s 55th Anniversary and we will be doing events throughout the year in celebration of this historic milestone. Please help us celebrate during the year at our different events.
2019 is also the 55th Anniversary of the Economic Opportunity Act which is the Federal Law that allowed agencies like DMCOC and our sister Community Action Agencies throughout the nation to be created. Community Action Agencies were the first step that the government took on the “war on poverty” and we are still continuing the effort to end poverty.
